Michael Lear

Managing Director

Michael has over 30 years experience in the building and property industry and is an expert in all aspects of construction, design and new homes.
Having lived in East Sussex for more than 40 years, Michael has a comprehensive knowledge of the local area.

Byron Lear

Director - Project Management

Byron has grown up immersed in the construction industry as the son of Managing Director, Michael and has thus experienced all levels of site rankings; from Labourer to Site Management. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Byron specialises in the financial analysis of sites, ensuring their feasibility, efficiency and budget.

He’s still attempting to jump ahead of the steep learning curve that applies to aspects of site management, but with the dynamic nature of construction’s legislation and design aspects, so is everybody else.

Carl Underhill

Director - Sales

Carl has worked in property sales for more than 30 years, predominantly in London working for some of the city's most successful agencies. He is thrilled to have joined the Crown team at the inception of this exciting venture and looks forward to bringing his experience with him as well as learning some of the other aspects of the business.

Catherine Underhill

Director – Lettings & Property Management

Catherine’s first job over 20 years ago was in Lettings and she has since worked in Residential Sales, Lettings and Property Management, with a few years off for good behaviour (and children)!

She believes passionately in a client-driven enterprise and is delighted to have come back to the business with such an exciting and dynamic new venture.

Carole Lear

Operations Director

Carole is originally from Reunion Island and, having moved to the UK in 1995, has been an East Sussex local ever since. Married to MD Michael, the question is who is really the boss?! Carole's daily tasks vary from project design to rent reconciliation and everything in between. We are not sure the office could function without her!

Glen Morton-Davage

Finance Officer

Glen has worked in accountancy for 13 years, mostly in the Hastings area, and worked his way up to Client Accounts Manager. He has recently made the leap to setting up his own consultancy, alongside helping Crown Property Agents with their extensive accounting systems. He is married with 4 children and is a fan of Brighton & Hove Albion FC
